The Launch of Lulu and Latte’s Hot List

After months of working tirelessly to put together Lulu’s Hot List, it is finally here!!! I have cultivated a list of vendors who I and many of my readers feel are the best of the best at what they do. This initial launch is a local (as in Essex/Union County New Jersey) vetted list. I will be expanding to Bergen County, the Main Line, Long Island, NYC, Miami, Chicago, Philly, LA, etc with the help of local influencers and you, my readers!

The list is made up of “guides” as in:

• The Food Guide
• The Life Guide
• The Outdoor Guide
• The Pet Guide
• The Baby & New Mom Guide (Launching in October 2015)

• The Camp Guide 
• The Travel Guide

Not every category is filled yet but know I am diligently working to find the right vendors. I would rather leave the spot empty until I am confident I have the right vendor than put someone in just for the sake of it. 

Why are there only a few resources per category? 

 The truth is there are so many people out there that recommend this resource or that resource that it often becomes really overwhelming! I wanted to give you my favorites based on personal experience, reputation and quality (not advertising dollars). By only featuring those vendors I really love, I feel like I can really speak honestly about them on Lulu and Lattes.  If you want a list of many there is a popular site that begins with a capital A. 

So what’s in it for you?  Hopefully a one stop shop approach to finding vendors and services locally you will find useful at a particular time in your lives.  As a trusted and vetted resource I am confident that my vendors will provide you with a fair and quality experience.  Finally, many of the list participants are offering Lulu’s followers an exclusive discount or opportunity if you mention you discovered them by way of my list.  Specific information can be found on the vendor pages. 

Your experience with the list is of paramount importance to me.  If you have a less than satisfactory experience with any of the businesses listed, please let me know privately as soon as possible.   Those businesses that don’t maintain the standards I demand will be promptly removed.   Similarly, if you have had an amazing experience I want to know and will share (with your permission) with everyone.  Because I have taken such care and time in selecting the businesses that participate in our Hot List I will not be surprised at all when I hear that one of them kicked ass. But I love it nonetheless and want to hear ALL about it!

In launching the list I want to provide my readers/followers full transparency.  Do businesses pay to be listed? Sure they do.  I have been very fortunate in that Lulu’s has provided me a platform that has generated a very modest income.  If a business is accepted into Lulu’s hot list, they will pay a modest membership fee to be listed. I have intentionally set the prices low, so that small and large businesses alike can easily be a part of Lulu’s list.  As mentioned earlier, if I’m not happy with the quality of resources for a particular category, I will happily leave that spot empty until I find someone who meets my standards.

I am beyond excited for this launch. This is just the beginning of an incredible addition of Lulu and Lattes. Please remember your feedback is critical to the success of the list and I look forward to hearing from you.
