Jerry Seinfeld – He’s back and has been, but who knew!

If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know I am Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David’s biggest fan. Like BIGGEST FAN EVER.  If you haven’t guessed that by my sense of humor, well, now you know.

So when I was listening to Howard the other day and Seinfeld came on talking about his web series that is now in its 2nd season. I literally pulled over and googled it. I mean, I cannot believe nobody has mentioned it to me. I read Huff Post, etc but I definitely missed this.

Have you seen it? I am assuming most of you have … BUT if you haven’t, stop whatever it is you are doing and watch it. I will say ,though, you have to be a fan of this kind of dry humor. It is not for everyone but those that can appreciate it, will love it!

It is called “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”. Each video starts off with Seinfeld in some beautiful car explaining all the ins and outs of the exquisite car. If you are a car lover (like me) – the first minute will hook you!

The most beautiful car in the world, according to Seinfeld  and I happen to agree is the 1969 Lamborghini P400S Miura. Watch this – it’s great and Chris Rock is pretty funny as well!

I love that car has eyelashes! Sweet!!

In each episode he picks up a famous comedian (Sarah Silverman, David Letterman, Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin, etc) in whatever car he is featuring and they drive to have “coffee” or breakfast. (very much Seinfeld flavor). I have been trying to watch one or two a day. They are only about 10-15 min long.

Seth Meyers Fan? You will love this one!

Enjoy it!

I like that he personifies the cars, and then chooses the car for that particular [famous] coffeepal according to attributes they share. The scene from the episode with Carl Reiner & Mel Brooks (who share dinner most nights over Jeopardy) is really just beyond. funny . It’s overwhelming. Dave Letterman is fun because you get to see them be naturally funny not so “tv” funny. The short intros Seinfeld gives before the phonecall are all brilliantly Seinfeld. Couldnt agree more, why havent I seen this when it started!

  2. I’ve been talking about CICGC since Season 1. Seinfeld did barely any promotion since it was an experiment with hopes of getting a sponsor. He did a great job, got a sponsor (Acura) and got to work on Season 2. Season 2 will be released in 2 parts. The first part just ended with Chris Rock’s episode. The next part picks up in September.

A few amazing shows you may want to check out that you may or may not know about:
Orphan Black -BBC America but you can view on Amazon Prime
    Orange is the New Black-Netflix
    House of Cards-Netflix

    I’ve got plenty more recommendations!

I post the new CICGC episodes on my site as soon as they are available.

    Love you Amy, you rock!

  4. You will LOVE Orange is the New Black. I watched all 13 episodes in 5 days. Couldn’t stop.

The lead actress in Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany is UNBELIEVABLE! The fact that she isn’t nominated of an Emmy is a crime.

Let me know what you think!

  6. Assume you’ve heard about Larry David’s new movie, Clear History, on HBO August 10th! I can’t wait!

  7. I know! I can’t wait either. I’m a huge Larry David fan. Not sure if you’ve seen the promos but he’s almost unrecognizeable in this new one. I’m not a huge Jon Hamm fan, but I think it’s hilairous that he’s playing an Ad Exec in a different show. I’m betting it’s a winner. Have you caught up on all of the Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee episodes yet? I loved the Sarah Silverman one.
