Lulu and Latte’s Hot List

Over the past year, I have been spending quality time in the “Livingston Mom’s” Facebook Group. Everyday someone asks for a recommendation. Whether it is for the best photographer, best landscapers, best shoe repair, best place to buy coffee, eat pizza, roofer, divorce attorney, etc etc etc. ALL DAY LONG. The issue was if you asked for a sprinkler company on Monday by the time Friday rolled around  there were so many posts, your sprinkler question was nowhere to be found. So you had to ask again. And then a few months ago I received a Morris/Essex Magazine with their TOP picks of Best Everything. A few places I agreed with but many of them I was shocked made the list. I couldn’t figure out if they were asking anyone to be on it or what the deal was.

A lightbulb went off in my head. What if I could create a cultivated list of premier resources both I and my readers would endorse? This would be a trusted list of high quality, creme de la creme businesses we have worked with and work with currently. Creme de la creme does not mean most expensive! It means most satisfied and happy customers. It also means you don’t have to search a group page 50 posts deep, it will always be on my blog to refer back to in time of need.

Each resource/vendor will be showcased with all of their particulars. Including a bio, pictures of their work (if applicable), a link to their website and all of their social media buttons.

How did I choose the vendors?

It has taken months of extensive research. I looked at their time in the industry, their portfolio and their experience. I consulted with referrals, got to know who they are and WHY they are so good at what they do.

Secondly, I, or someone very close to me must have worked hand –in –hand with this business for a period of time. I didn’t simply look for a referral but rather for a solid reason as to why a particular business deserved to be on the list. Perhaps a florist worked with us on a huge party, did a fab job, we used them again, and some of our readers also hired the florist and are still raving to all their friends about them. Could be I have tried several different aestheticians but my skin continues to look the best with this particular aesthetician.  Maybe I questioned a friend about how amazing her backyard looked and she referred me to a landscape architect who has designed some of the most beautiful backyards. Perhaps the dog trainer I have worked with has done such a phenomenal job in training, there was no way I couldn’t recommend him. Whatever the connection, it was strong and based on a real knowledge of the resources work.

And finally, after feeling completely confident that a particular resource was fabulous, I invited them to be a part of Lulu’s Hot List! It’s an invitation-only list that truly prides itself on its commitment to quality above everything else.

I am launching the list locally with my NEW REDESIGNED SITE  in the Essex/Union area of NJ. From there it will be Bergen, and then NYC & Long Island.  Future lists will be in  Philly, Miami, Chicago, LA, etc! I have been wanting to launch this list for years and I am so excited it is finally happening!!!!

There will be a soft launch in July of Outdoor Vendors and then the official launch August 1 or August 15th. I will keep you updated.

Upon the launch in July with my new site, I will have post entire breakdown of exactly how the list works.

Stay Tuned!
