DIY GUMBALL MACHINE HALLOWEEN COSTUME

I went to a Halloween party last weekend and lots of people wanted to know how I made my costume. This is an easy and quick DIY Halloween Costume that you can pull together in no time. I literally went out at 7pm the night before the party, bought the items below and made the costume in a few short hours.

I made this costume using an inexpensive red dress that I found at a store in the Livingston Mall, called Windsor (I bought it for about $39). You can also check out Forever 21, H&M or Charlotte Russe. You will also need a hot glue gun, grey felt and lots of colorful pom poms. I suggest buying a dress in a thicker jersey type of fabric so it can hold up the pom poms . I did buy fabric glue and attached all of the pom poms and they ALL FELL OFF because the glue did not hold them. I really suggest using only a hot glue gun.  You will also need some grey felt and a black marker to make the gum dispenser.

To make the dress, just follow these 5 easy steps:
1. Lay the dress out on a table and place a piece of cardboard under the area you want to start working on.
2. Use a hot glue gun to add pom poms all over the top part of the dress including the straps (if any). Vary the colors.
3. Turn the dress over and cover the back with pom poms as well.
4. Cut out a small rectangle of grey felt. Then use a black sharpie to draw the 25 cents sign and the gum dispenser.
5. Use a hot glue gun to add the gum dispenser to the dress.
That’s it!

p.s I did add a headband and hot glued some pom poms on it. I had no idea what to do with my hair so I thought that would be the best option!
Happy Halloween!
