The Americans

I have a small obsession with a new show on FX called “The Americans”. If you haven’t seen it, shame on you. Its literally one of those shows you go back and watch and think how did I not start watching this from the beginning. It sucks you in from the minute it starts.

The Americans is a period drama about the complex marriage of two KGB spies (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) posing as Americans in the suburbs of Washington D.C. shortly after Reagan is elected President.

These spies have two children (ages 13 and 10) who know nothing about their parents true identity. They are know as the “Jennings”.  Within each episode the story unravels and you grow to have a deep attachment to this dark and mysterious couple.  They soon have a new neighbor that is actually an FBI agent (Noah Emmerich). This gives you insight into the American side and also the Russian side. It is an all-encompassing, hold on to the edge of your seat thriller.  IT’S AMAZING!!! If you haven’t seen it you can go back and watch the first few episodes on Demand or Apple TV. They already renewed the second season. DON’T MISS IT! It’s worth the hour of your time. I promise its better than Glee or any of the other reality shit you peeps watch. Just sayin….
